Gravity Ball: A Thrilling New Team Sport that Defies Gravitational Force

Overview:

Gravity Ball is a team sport that combines elements of basketball, dodgeball, and trampoline gymnastics. The objective of the game is to score points by throwing a ball through a hoop while bouncing on trampolines, all while dodging opposing team players who are trying to intercept the ball.

Teams:

Gravity Ball is played with two teams, each consisting of four players. The teams are designated as “A” and “B”. Each team has one player who is designated as the “thrower”. The other three players are designated as “defenders”. The game is played in a circular arena with a diameter of 20 meters.

Equipment:

The game is played with a special ball that is designed to be lightweight and bouncy. The ball is 30 centimeters in diameter and is made of a soft, rubbery material. The hoop is located in the center of the arena and is mounted on a pole that is 3 meters high. The hoop is 60 centimeters in diameter.

Gameplay:

The game begins with a “jump ball”. The ball is thrown into the center of the arena, and the two teams jump on trampolines to try and gain possession of the ball. Once a team has possession of the ball, they must bounce on the trampolines to move towards the opposing team’s side of the arena.

The thrower on the team with possession of the ball can throw the ball towards the hoop at any time. If the ball goes through the hoop, the team earns 2 points. If the ball hits the hoop but does not go through, the team earns 1 point. If the ball misses the hoop, no points are awarded.

The defenders on the opposing team can try to intercept the ball by jumping on their own trampolines and trying to catch the ball in mid-air. If a defender catches the ball, possession of the ball switches to their team. If a defender deflects the ball, possession remains with the original team.

Players are not allowed to hold the ball for more than three seconds. If a player holds the ball for longer than three seconds, possession of the ball switches to the opposing team.

The game is played in four 10-minute quarters. Teams switch sides at the end of each quarter.

Penalties:

Players are not allowed to push, shove, or trip opposing players. If a player is found to be intentionally making contact with an opposing player, they will be assessed a personal foul. If a player receives three personal fouls, they are ejected from the game.

If a team is assessed three team fouls in a quarter, the opposing team is awarded a free throw. If the free throw is successful, the team is awarded one point.

Conclusion:

Gravity Ball is a fast-paced and exciting new sport that combines elements of basketball, dodgeball, and trampoline gymnastics. The game is easy to learn and play, but requires skill, agility, and teamwork to be successful. With its unique combination of elements, Gravity Ball is sure to become a popular sport for both players and fans alike.
